Fue sintetizado por primera vez a mediados de la d\u00e9cada de 1970 por Alexander Shulgin y se incluy\u00f3 un informe detallado en su libro de 1997 TiHKAL (Tryptamines I Have Known And Loved).<\/p>\n<p>Aunque se han realizado investigaciones limitadas sobre la sustancia, informes anecd\u00f3ticos indican que carece de las propiedades alucin\u00f3genas t\u00edpicas que se encuentran en otras triptaminas m\u00e1s populares, como la mescalina y el LSD.
