Fu sintetizzato per la prima volta a met\u00e0 degli anni &#039;70 da Alexander Shulgin e un rapporto dettagliato fu incluso nel suo libro del 1997 TiHKAL (Triptamine che ho conosciuto e amato).<\/p>\n<p>Sebbene siano state condotte ricerche limitate sulla sostanza, rapporti aneddotici indicano che manca delle tipiche propriet\u00e0 allucinogene presenti in altre triptamine pi\u00f9 popolari come la mescalina e l&#039;LSD.
