It was first synthesized in the mid-1970s by Alexander Shulgin and a detailed report was included in his 1997 book TiHKAL (Tryptamines I Have Known And Loved).<\/p>\n<p>Although limited research has been conducted on the substance, anecdotal reports indicate that it lacks the typical hallucinogenic properties found in other, more popular, tryptamines such as Mescaline and LSD.
